Acrofest- NZ's National Acrobatic Competition
NZ's annual aerobatic competition, run by the Southern Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (SHGPGC) and made possible by the team at ParatowNZ with their epic boat tow set up! ParatowNZ is a gift for pilots, not only to improve their skills with tow days and SIV courses...but to have fun with flying.
AcroFest originally started 22 years ago and after a 10 year hiatus and was rebooted in 2021. It's a fun comp for all pilots, with Novice and Master categories and a range of trophies and prizes to be won.
Magic Land and AcroFest are two awesome local sporting events collaborating to bring adventure, joy, and a world class competition to the South Island.

AcroFest 2025 qualifying rounds will be held the weekend before the Festival 22nd -24th March.
Finalists will put on their final showdown, over the festival on Saturday 29th, with Fri 28th as back up.
Prizegiving will be on the main stage at Magic Land.
